Congratulations to our August Athletes of The Month! Each athlete was nominated by their Head Coach based on their performance & leadership during the month of August! Nora Smith - Nora has made a tremendous impact on our team as a freshman and has been an integral part of our success. She is a hardworking, coachable player who consistently contributes in every aspect of the game. Ashlee Baker - Ashlee trusted me enough to try something new in joining the golf team. She has been tremendous at listening and attempting to improve. Over the first few weeks of the season she has already improved significantly. Emily Williams - During our first contest of the season, she surpassed the 2,000 career assist mark and currently has the team paced for a record setting team hitting percentage. Andrew Harmon - Andrew was the player of the game week 1 and carries a 4.0 GPA. He is a fantastic young man and what we want all of our FC Student Athletes to embody. Grant Engle - Grant has been moved around in the lineup for both singles and doubles this season. He has been flexible as well as coachable as he makes the transition between singles and doubles this season, which is not an easy task to do. Ella Matlock - Ella is one of our hardest workers. Her ability to not shy away from doing really hard things has been her calling card for 4 years. Her All-County finish last week was HUGE in securing the Marion County Championship! She continues to grow as an athlete and we are so excited to see what that looks like this season and beyond high school! Caden Brock - Caden adjusted to a new position a month before tryouts and has excelled to the point of being the most valuable player on the field most of the time. He has multiple goal and game saving tackles and steals already in the early season. Graceyn Schwark - Graceyn is a captain and a great leader who makes sure the entire team feels included and valued. Nate Davis - Nate finished 6th place and earned First Team All-County in only his first 5k cross country race of his life. He continues to excel week in and week out in a brand new sport. Elijah Beach- Elijah displays excellent leadership every single day. He is also great with our athletes and always finds ways to support our program.
