Franklin Central High School Athletics

Varsity boys soccer defeats Brebeuf (2 - 1) in the first round of the Marion County Tournament. Despite a fairly dominant performance, your Flashes found themselves behind in the second half. Fighting through obstacles and a bit of controversy, the boys found a goal with 35 minutes to go followed by a game winning goal by Trenton Byrne. Near the end, a red card put the boys down a man again, and they defended admirably to hold onto the late lead.
