January Athletes Of The Month

Congratulations to our January Athletes of the Month! Each athlete was selected by their Head Coach based upon their performance and/or leadership during the month of January! Maddie Thompson - Maddie had an incredible run during the month of January. Maddie was unranked going into the state tournament series and earned her way to a 6th place finish in the IHSAA state finals. She also competed in the Team State Duals tournament earning all wins during the tournament by pin of tech fall helping her team earn a State Runner- Up finish. Maddie ends her Junior season with a record of 31-9. Colt Goodman - Colt has been on a role during the month of January. Colt is currently ranked 10th in the semi state with wins over number 8 and 9. He has earned 15 wins during this month! We look forward to him being successful over the IHSAA state tournament series. Colt leads his teammates by example during competition! Kelsi Lewis is the Gymnastics team nomination for athlete of the month for January. Kelsi has stepped up this season and has been a great leader and has made several improvements in her routines so far this season. Ashlynne Berry- is a senior standout cheerleader who excels as a student, role model and leader on our team. She is a versatile cheerleader who performs well in any position; base, back spot, flyer and tumbler. She never needs to be asked to complete tasks, is self motivated, responsible, helpful, and kind to everyone. Even in pain from a previous injury, Ashlynne continued to stunt, tumble and perform with her team. She is coachable, receptive and always looking to improve, the best kind of team member and our athlete of the month. Raymond Hayes - Raymond is a fierce competitor who continues to grow as a player and as a leader for our team each week throughout the season. He is coachable, spirited, and representative of our program values. Emma McVey- Emma has played with high energy, intensity, and a positive attitude which has been vital for our team. She capped the month with a standout performance on Senior night Tuesday scoring 20 points vs. Southport. Avery Cockerill 1st place finish in the 500 Free and all life time best at the JV Invite Kooper Link 1st palace finish in the 100 fly and all ife time best at the JV Invite
