The Franklin Central Boys and Girls Cross Country teams finished 3rd and 4th respectively in the Hoosier Crossroads Conference meet Saturday. The HCC boasts a field where 7 of 8 teams are ranked in the top 20 in the state on both boys and girls sides. The boys were outpaced only by #2 Noblesville and #3 Zionsville to finish 3rd, led by senior Brayden Henkle's runner-up finish. Henkle's time of 15:16 broke the previous meet record of 15:24. Girls finished 4th overall behind #2 Noblesville, #4 Hamilton Southeastern, and #6 Zionsville, led by sophomore Savana Miller's 11th place finish. Miller earned All-HCC honors as well as a new PR of 18:53. Both teams are in action this Saturday at the Nike XC Town Invite, a night race under the lights on the State meet course.
