The Flashes competed in the brand new Fall Creek Pavilion last night at the HCC indoor meet. Overall, the Flashes placed 5th in the conference. The 4x200 of Weaver, Moritz, Harvey and Mitchell ran 1:32.54 and is currently 12th in the state. The DMR of Farmer, Wright, Ruley and Ashman ran 10:44.19 and is 9th in the state. Jalen Howard, Damir Swanigan, and Dennis Mitchell all scored in the jumps- Howard 2nd, Swanigan 4th, Mitchell 7th. Zeke Draher scored in the 60 hurdles as well as Jayon Harvey in the 60 dash. The highlight of the night was the photo finish between 3 different teams, with the Flashes taking first place in the 4x400. The team of Weaver, Moritz, Clerger, and Ashman ran 3:29.56 and is currently 2nd in the state of Indiana. Late in the evening, the “midnight club” who is pictured, helped cheer on Preston Stokell and Ivan Weaver in the pole vault. They were 3rd and 4th, both with jumps of 13-3. The Flashes are in action next at UIndy on Wednesday March 16th.
