The Boys Cross Country crew qualified for the State meet on Saturday in Columbus, as well as three individuals from the girls squad. Natalie Vandesteene, Makenna Bowling, and Addison Weatherford qualified for the State meet individually as the team finished 6th place overall, just one spot shy of advancing in the toughest regional in the State. On the boys side, the seniors ran like seniors. Ian Tharp ran his best high school race to date to finish 15th overall and earn All-Regional honors. Fellow seniors Nate Davis and Jason Decker weren't far behind. The dynamic duo of Miles Kitts and Cole Rigler rounded out the scoring to seal the deal. The boys and girls will compete Saturday at Indiana State on the Lavern Gibson Championship Course with the girls racing at Noon and the boys racing at 1:00pm.
