The 6th-ranked Boys, and 9th-ranked Girls competed in the Hoosier Crossroads Conference Championships on Saturday. On the girls side the team was led by senior Kylie Cline who finished 2nd overall as the HCC Runner-Up in a NEW SCHOOL RECORD time of 17:49. This time was also under the Brownsburg Course Record. Teammate junior Savana Miller was next through the chute finishing 3rd overall running 18:00.6, a time that would've been a NEW SCHOOL RECORD had her teammate not beaten her. Savana's time was also under the previous course record. Junior Dakota Miller also earned All-HCC honors by finishing 15th overall in a new personal best time of 19:05. Rounding out the scoring were two PHENOMENAL performances from sophomore Kaitlyn Pettet and junior Evelyn Medina who both posted their season's best times and finished in the top-25 in the toughest conference in the state. The #9 FC girls finished 3rd place overall as a team behind #2 Hamilton Southeastern and #4 Noblesville. This is the highest finish ever for the girls program.
On the boys side senior Joey Ashman ran his best race yet in finishing 8th overall in a new personal best time of 15:32 earning him All-HCC honors. Junior Evan Farmer also earned All-HCC accolades by finishing 11th in a new personal best time of 15:40.
